The Kinally calendar answers the question an ordinary calendar leaves open: who is going to do it.
Transport is part of the event
On an event you pick the child, who drives and who collects. It is one extra field, and it is what separates a household that runs from one where both adults assumed the other was going.
The journey counts too
You can attach travel time to an event, so it is visible how much extra time it really costs. A club at 15:30 then stops reading as 15:30 and starts reading as the journey there and back as well.
You decide what is visible
Every event has a visibility. Shared shows in full. Busy time only lets others see you are occupied without the title or the location. A personal event is seen by nobody else.
The hiding is done by the database, not by the display — the content is not returned to others even on a direct query.
Recurrence
A regular club is written down once as a weekly recurrence. The split of who drives stays put until somebody deliberately changes it.
What is still missing
- A single occurrence cannot be removed from a series yet; a cancelled session means editing the whole thing.
- A recurrence is laid out eight weeks ahead; after that the series has to be created again.
- There is no import from Google Calendar.
- The app does not warn you about clashes.
