Family tasks
A task without a name does not get done. In Kinally the owner and the date are part of the entry, not an extra.
A name and a date
When you create a task you pick who takes it and when it is due. Both are optional, but a list without them stops matching reality quickly — and the family stops trusting it.
Done is visible
Ticking something off is one tap and it applies to the whole household; the others see it after a reload. If a save fails we say so; we do not pretend something is stored when it is not.
Split by area
In practice it works better to divide whole areas than to count individual tasks. Whoever drives the children holds everything around clubs; whoever cooks holds the shopping. Fairness then gets discussed occasionally, not per item.
What is still missing
- There is no reminder before a due date.
- Tasks cannot be split into subtasks or repeated.
- An owner cannot yet accept or decline a task.
- A change does not reach the others by itself; the page has to be reloaded.
