Kinally has four parts: the calendar, tasks, the shopping list and the assistant. They all live in one household and they all answer the same question — who is going to handle it.
The family calendar
An event carries more than a time: who takes the child, who collects them, how long the journey takes and when you need to leave to make it. These are exactly the fields an ordinary shared calendar lacks, and exactly where family logistics break.
For every event you choose what the family sees: the whole thing, busy time only, or nothing. A weekly club is written down once as a recurrence.
Tasks with someone's name on them
A task gets a name and a date. Without an owner it is only a wish, which is why the owner is part of the form rather than an optional extra. Done is one tap, and the rest of the household sees it within a minute.
A shared shopping list
One list for the whole household. Whoever is in the shop ticks things off; everyone else sees what is still missing. Adding an item takes seconds, with no categories and no setup.
An assistant that does nothing on its own
You write a sentence and the assistant turns it into a draft event. The draft is saved only after you confirm it — never before. Details are on the Family assistant page.
What we cannot do yet
We say this plainly so nobody expects something they will not get.
- Phone notifications do not exist yet; the app refreshes itself, but it never speaks up.
- Routines — recurring checklists such as the morning routine — do not exist yet.
- There is no import from Google Calendar.
- The app does not work without an internet connection.
- The shopping list has no quantities, notes or categories.
